Alexander Grieghytten har rombestilling store deler av sommerferien, vinter og påskeferie!
Ellers i året er det primært gruppeutleie. Hytta har store fine 2 – og 4 sengsrom i tilegg til stor og fin stue/spisestue, badstue og aktivitetsrom. Turstier, badekulper og nydelig natur rett utenfor døra. Hytta er totalrenovert i 2020 og er tilpasset personer med funksjonsnedsettelser med blandt annen heis og handicaptoalett.

Hytten er svært godt egnet til skoleklasser, bedrifter, lag og foreninger. Det er netttilgang og høy komfort. Ved behov er det mulig å frakte varer/personer helt opp til hytten sommerstid.

Bestilling av rom i skolens sommer, vinter og påskeferie gjøres via nettsidene. Grupper kontakter Bergen og Hordaland Turlag for samlet bestilling og faktura. Se priser og vilkår lenger ned på siden. 

Hytten

Hytten har stort spiserom, peisestue, kjøkken med to komfyrer, kjøleskap og oppvaskmaskin. I kjelleretasjen finner du bl.a. dusj, toaletter, badstue, tørkerom, bordtennisbord (ta med racketer/baller). Innlagt vann og strøm. Grill i hyttetunet. Det er terrasse rundt hele bygningen, og eget vedhus. Alexander Grieghytten er en ubetjent hytte, dvs. det er ikke proviant på hytten.

Besøkende disponerer ikke nøkkel til bommen på veien opp til Alexander Grieghytten. Det er ca. 400 meter motbakke opp til hytten, og det er lurt å pakke det som skal med til hytten i sekker som på en vanlig tur. Det tar ca. 10 minutter å gå fra bilveien. 

Hund

Det er to hundebur plassert i egen fløy i 1.etg. Hunderommet har egen inngang. Hunder har ikke adgang til oppholdsrom og soverom. 

Tur- og aktivitetsmuligheter:

Området rundt Alexander Grieghytten har en rekke turmuligheter. Hamlagrøhornet, Mykkeltveitveten og Krampane nord for hytten, og Kjerringafjellet og Storliknausen sør for hytten, er alle flotte toppturmål. Førstnevnte er mye benyttet som utflukt for de de yngste turgåerne (barneskolealder). Vinterstid er det lett og fint skiterreng fra Hamlagrøosen og sørover mot Fugladalen. Hamlagrø løypelag preparerer en rundløype like nord for hytten. Det er merket T-løype fra Alexander Grieghytten ned Rasdalen til Bolstadøyri og til Evanger, begge er nydelige dagsturer med tog tilbake til Bergen.

Dagstur til Vending turisthytte er en populær utflukt både sommer og vinter, i gjestfritt terreng som passer for alle.

Her kan du ta med fiskestanga til Hamlagrøvatnet og her er flere fiskevann på vei mot Hamlagrøhornet i nordlig retning fra hytten. Fisketurer uten fiskestang til bekken kun et steinkast øst for hytten. Flotte kulper med bekkørret. Bademulighetene er mange rundt hytten, like ved er det fine kulper og en fin liten foss (tørr i perioder). Langs Hamlagrøvatnet er også tallrike badeplasser.

Det er oppsettingsplass for lavvo i hyttetunet. Mange har hatt sin første utendørs overnatting i lavvoen her, og opplevd villmarkslivet i visshet om at det det er en trygg hytte like ved.

Pris utleie pr. døgn 2024:

Hele anlegget (34 senger) 7500,- pr. døgn. 

For skoleklasser/barnehager i midtuke: Hele anlegget 5500,- pr. døgn. 

Hytten er låst med spesialnøkkel og kan benyttes hele året. Egne priser ved romutleie i skoleferier.  

English:

The Alexander Grieg cabin was built in 1970 and was completely renovated in 2020. The cabin has a glorious location in Bergsdalen, with a large dining room, living room with open fireplace, kitchen with two cookers, refrigerator and dishwasher. In the basement you will find, among other things, a shower, toilet, sauna, drying room and table tennis table (bring your own bats/balls). There is water and electricity. Barbecue in the cabin yard. There is a terrace surrounding the entire building, and a separate wood store. The Alexander Grieg cabin is unattended, which means there are no provisions at the cabin.

There is a special key and large groups are welcome to hire the cabin.

Visitors are not provided with the key to the barrier on the road leading up to the Alexander Grieg cabin. It is approximately 400 metres uphill to the cabin, and it would be wise to pack everything needed for the cabin in bags as for a normal walk. It takes approximately 10 minutes to walk from the vehicular road.

Hiking and activity options:

The area around the Alexander Grieg cabin has a number of opportunities for hiking. Hamlagrøhornet, Mykkeltveitveten and Krampane north of the cabin, as well as Kjerringafjellet and Storliknausen south of the cabin, are all excellent destinations for a summit hike. The former are widely used as excursions for the youngest walkers (primary school age). In winter there is good, easy skiing terrain from Hamlagrøosen and southwards towards Fugladalen. Hamlagrø Løypelag (the Hamlagrø Trail Association) is preparing a circular trail just north of the cabin. There is a marked T trail from the Alexander Grieg cabin down Rasdalen to Bolstadøyri and Evanger. Both make for delightful day hikes when combined with the train back to Bergen.

A popular excursion in both summer and winter is the day hike to the Vending tourist cabin in hospitable terrain that suits everyone.

Here you can take your fishing rod to Hamlagrøvatnet, and there are several fishing lakes here on the way towards Hamlagrøhornet in a northerly direction from the cabin. Fishing trips without a rod to the stream, just a stone’s throw east of the cabin. Superb deep pools with brown trout. There are many opportunities around the cabin for swimming. Immediately adjacent there are some fine deep pools and a great little waterfall (dry at times). There are also many places for a swim along Hamlagrøvatnet.

The cabin is highly suitable for school classes, companies and businesses, with varied activity opportunities locally and fine hiking destinations in the area.

The cabin is suitable for disabled people, with the option to drive all the way to the cabin. There is a lift and disabled toilet, and all the rooms on the ground floor are threshold-free.

School classes wishing to hire the cabin midweek can contact bht@dnt.no for a price quotation. The key can be obtained on payment of a deposit. The cabin can be hired in weeks 27 to 32 inclusive, the school winter holidays and school Easter holidays.

By car: 1 1/2 hours from Bergen via Dale or via Bulken. Own parking area next to the main road; approx. 10 min. walk to the cabin.

Bergsdalen can be reached either by train from Bergen to Dale, by bus up Bergsdalen (groups must book in advance at Modalen/Eksingedalen Billag AS on tel.: +47 56 59 56 20).

By train/bus:

1 – By train/bus to Dale and onwards by bus to Bergsdalen. Route to/from Hamlagrø at weekends.

2 – By train to Bolstad or Evanger and on foot on a T-marked path to the cabin.

Important things to know when hiking:
Weather and condition reports vary greatly. A map and compass are recommended. Waymarks can disappear under snow and in fog. Check the current condition reports before the trip.

The Norwegian right to roam (Allemannsretten) gives us many opportunities, but also imposes a duty on us to look after the natural world. When out in nature, you undertake to leave nothing behind other than your own footprints. Leaving no trace is about cleaning up after yourself, taking all rubbish with you and behaving with care and consideration when you are among nature.
